In order to keep the organisation running and the various activities we promote and even maintain including this website and other running costs we are constantly seeking financial or assistance in kind from individuals, foundations and companies.

Your generous donations help to provide the community with valuable tools and information needed to fight the rampant drug abuse in the country. It helps people previously considered hopeless realise that all is not lost and that contrary to general belief they can still go on to become extremely productive citizens of Kenya

Your donations go a long way in improving the reading habits of Kenyans by encouraging a culture of reading and growing mentally. This is by keeping the various libraries run or supported by goinghomedotcom operating.

Here at goinghomedotcom Trust we constantly talk to and counsel alcoholics and other addicts as well as their families and try to get the persons concerned into some course of treatment. We keep in contact with them and their families providing out-reach services post-rehab. We help out during the difficult periods like when a relapse occurs or just by providing a shoulder to cry on or someone to talk to. For all this we do not charge a single cent though incurring several expenses, including maintaining an office.

We organise awareness talks for families and their children in their homes with video presentations, to highlight the dangers involved in careless consumption of alcohol and the use of tobacco products. These are usually families where there is not necessarily a problem of use of these drugs but merely as a public service to those families who believe forewarned is forearmed and who have realised it is their duty to not only equip themselves with this knowledge but more importantly to have their children empowered. Again this is done at no cost.

Our strong belief in what we are doing is the fuel that keeps us going for Kenyans are held firm in the strangulating grip of denial over their alcohol and tobacco consumption use and moreso concerning the disease of alcoholism. We believe everybody is waiting for someone else to 'go first' in breaking this chain of bondage - so we have done that. We will continue to cut away at it one link at a time and with your help we believe we shall succeed.
