The GoingHome Video set up early in (March 2002) with several main objectives. It was realised that if goinghomedotcom was going to go all out in it drugs awareness campaigns it needed to have an independent organisation to produce all its' audio-visual needs.

At the same time it would house the GoingHome Video which would assist budding journalists, authors and producers by providing reference books and audio-visual aids.

Thus the main objectives of GoingHome Video are:

• Produce videos and T.V. productions that will disseminate information on alcohol and other drug abuse
• Produce infomercials and other public service messages on alcohol and drug abuse
• Make full length features using video format highlighting the dangers inherent in alcohol and drug abuse
• Have a resource center for budding journalists and producers especially those who would later want to use their skills in creating awareness
• Have raw unedited footage for use by those making drug abuse awareness programmes with an aim of encouraging demand reduction
• Have slide and photograph archives for those writing drug abuse awareness articles with an aim of encouraging demand reduction
• Provide cheap editing and camera facilities for those creating productions which would increase awareness and even school clubs for use among their peers with an aim of encouraging demand reduction
• Train editors and cameramen on the job who will be used in subsequent drug abuse awareness productions aimed at encouraging demand reduction
